While I was organizing my craft supplies this weekend, I came across my wooden beads. I thought, why not cover them in glitter? I did it and I loved the result. The only drawback to glitter is that it ends up everywhere. I found that clear nail polish seals glitter pretty well and keeps it from coming off. This necklace was super easy to make and takes very little crafting time. I call it my disco ball necklace because it reminds me of glittery disco balls. Fun, right?

Materials Needed:

50 inch piece of rattail cord

10 - gold beads

7 – medium sized wooden beads

Glitter (I’m using a larger grain glitter)

Mod Podge

Clear Nail Polish

Brush

Steps:

Cover each wooden bead in Mod Podge then roll them in the glitter.

Brush clear nail polish over the glitter. This will seal the glitter so that it won’t come off.

Once the beads are dry, put the gold beads and glitter beads alternating on the rattail cord.

Knot each end of the rattail cord then put a gold bead on the end then knot it again.

Tie the necklace around your neck.
