I recently bought a cork board from Hobby Lobby and was excited to get some cute tacks to go with it. I couldn’t find the style I was looking for so I purchased plain gold push pins and used items from home to embellish them. Jenny and I truly believe that if you can’t find what you’re looking for at the store, don’t settle, make your own! That’s exactly what I did and now I have some girly tacks for my board!

What you need:

• Brads, buttons, rhinestones or any other embellishment you love
• Plain thumb tacks with a flat head
• Hot glue gun

What you need to do: 

• Play around with your embellishments, stacking and matching them to get your desired look
• Glue embellishments together, if necessary
• Glue embellishments onto tacks and let dry completely

Tip: For brads (that have the pointed prongs on the back), bend each prong back and forth several times until they break off

This is such an easy and affordable project, perfect for both beginner and advanced DIY’ers!
