DIY: Fabric Catch-All

I have stuff everywhere. No joke! When I get home from work, I usually go straight to my office to get on my computer. Somehow while I’m sitting there I manage to take off all of my jewelry without even realizing it and it ends up sprawled out all over my desk! In an attempt to keep everything together, I decided to make a cute fabric catch-all! This project is super easy and totally affordable! I can’t wait to make a few more using different patterns!

What you need:

  • Fabric of your choice (1/4 yard will do)
  • Small square container (Tupperware, cardboard jewelry box, anything really!)
  • Scissors
  • Iron
  • Fusible webbing (purchase at any fabric store)
  • Fabric stiffener (purchase at any fabric store)

What you need to do:

  1. Cut two pieces of fabric into equal-sized squares (slightly larger than your square container “mold”)
  2. Iron your two pieces of fabric (patterns facing out) together using your fusible webbing. Now your fabric is double-sided!
  3. Trim your square with scissors so it looks nice and neat
  4. Spray both sides of your fabric with fabric stiffener
  5. Place your container in the middle and mold your fabric around it, pinching out the corners
  6. Let dry completely and then carefully remove the container
