Holiday Hostess Gifts

As much as I love playing hostess, it’s always a pleasure when I’m invited into a friend’s home. Whether I’m dropping by for a quick cup of coffee or attending a party, I always like to have a little gift in hand. Since the holidays are approaching, I’ve been thinking about buying and making some fun and festive hostess gifts! A hostess gift should never be elaborate or expensive, but rather a small token of  your appreciation. Remember, whatever you choose to give, there’s no better way to make someone feel special than including some type of handcrafted or personal detail!

With a large, colorful ribbon, group together:  A crusty French baguette, a jar of homemade jam and a pair of decorative towels. Your host can serve it immediately as an extra snack for guests, or save it for breakfast the next morning.

Package your holiday snacks (cookies, pistachios, fudgy bonbons) in an embellished mason jar!

A dainty mug and heart shaped tea infuser would be a useful and greatly appreciated gift!

Don’t forget to package store bought items in festive, personalized wrap! Use old Christmas cards to create fun tags. Simply cut out the recipient’s initial and tie it on the gift with yarn or ribbon! Easy!
