Spring Cleaning: The Pantry

I dream of having a beautiful pantry one day. You know, to go along with that gorgeous kitchen I so badly want!

But for now, I have to make due with one of those closets full of white wire shelves. Yeah, you know what I’m talking about. So if you’re like me and don’t have a gorgeous pantry like those in the photos above, you might as well make the best of the one you do have!

Follow the simple steps below to have a clean and organized storage space in 30 minutes or less!

Step One:  Empty out your entire pantry. Yes, everything! Place items of the same category (i.e. baking supplies, pasta, snacks, cereal, etc.) together on your counter.

Step Two:  Clean the shelves, walls, and floor of your pantry with an all-purpose cleaner. I used Clorox Wipes.

Step Three:  Decide which shelves you will use for each of your categories. For example, snacks should be within easy reach and less frequently used products should be placed on lower or higher shelves.

Step Four:  Restock your pantry. As you are are doing so, be sure to check the dates on your food. Throw out expired food and donate products you know you’ll never use.

Step Five:  Step back, take a look at your organized space, and feel accomplished! This is great practice for your future space icon smile Spring Cleaning: The Pantry
