The Pink Room {Before}

The Pink Room {Before}

So there’s this room in my house, I’ve named it “The Pink Room”. When we first moved in I was excited to get this spare bedroom arranged, mainly because I had beautiful antique furniture to put in it. I wanted it to be glam, but livable and didn’t want it to look anything like a little girl’s room. I hastily chose a paint color and had someone come in to do the job. When I saw the finished product, I nearly screamed in horror. Way too pink, way too bright, and way too hard on the eyes for anyone to ever get any rest! I’m sorry guests! Instead of having it fixed, I shut the door and moved on to decorating other rooms in our house. Now, it is finally time to tackle this project and get this room looking as great as I know it can. Here are the before pictures. I’m excited to keep everyone updated on the progress as I redo this room!

  1. I think this is a nice room! Although I do see it being too hard to sleep in, hahaha.

    • Agreed! It’s getting painted on Monday! Should be a much more calming color :)

  2. I love your pieces, and the chandelier! I’m sure you have an amazing plan for the room, but what about painting it a beautiful teal of peacock? I think it would be so pretty with the pink furniture. LOVE the blog!!

    • Hi Alyson! Thanks for your comments! I already painted it light pink and it turned out pretty good! Teal would’ve looked great too!
